Like the other reviewees, we stayed here as we were going to Alton Towers the next day. We stayed 2 nights, ate out at a local Indian The Massala which was really good, Cheadle doesnt really have much in it, one or two pubs, the Master Potter is nice, good food, 2 for £8 deals. The guest house itself feels quite homely, it has a lounge to sit and watch dvds or read books, there's plenty of info on the local area. The rooms are nice, good shower, however the pillows were quite hard on the bed. The hosts were really friendly and treated you like one of their family. The breakfast was excellent and they had fresh fruit available as well, pineapple and kiwi fruit, not tinned either!! Couldnt fault the place really, a real bargain. Well recommended.

I stopped at the Park View Guest House in July 2008, with my partner, as a stop-off before going to Alton Towers Theme Park the following morning. We've stopped there before and have enjoyed the stay so much I have gone as far as to create this entry from scratch as I can't believe nobody has wanted to advertise how lovely this place is by now.

Park View is run by a fantastic couple, who I honestly think would drop everything just to make you happy. They are the real definition of a host. They are genuinely happy to help, from extra pillows, local info (usually in the form of multiple Alton Towers maps) and more.

Both rooms we stopped in over our two visits were warm and nicely-decorated, each with a subtle theme. This did not stop at just a nice wallpaper/linen match. For example, our room was 'sea themed', and it meant it, from a Titanic clock, to oars on the wall to Pirates Of The Carribean on DVD!

The breakfast.... god, the breakfast! It was self-service, and it had the works. The full English Breakfast, with a variety of fruit, cereals, museli, toast, and brioche. Also, (and they mean this), if you want ANTHING else, they WILL get it with enough notice. I found this out after my joke about wanting kippers was met with a rather-too-serious reply of 'just give us time to get to the shops'.

The price was very good value for money, and I would happily stay again.
