One night stay in the tower room 3301.. The suite is very spacious and you have the tower with its winding staircase to the top..the views were a let down but hey! In its day there probably wasn't anything around that area.. Sad to see below next door to the hall a industrial estate with machinery noise constant in the background that we could hear inside the room. All is very old and it really does need some TLC and we noticed that under the radiators it wasn't very clean. Another point is that you don't get any slippers like in most suite rooms and the thought of the old carpet and who had been previously been walking on it in bare feet kinda stuck in your mind. Sadly disappointed having spent alot of money for the room. Next was the spa facilities....small pool, busy and not impressed at all. The brasserie is attached to the hall and the food was just average..bare in mind you are allowed an allowance pending what your room rate was..if you go over that rate you will end up paying extra..on checking in they also take £50 off your card so they can charge you if you spend extra in the hotel..but you have to wait for it to go back into your ban account..cheeky!.. There isn't a lot to do around the hotel..just a quick walk around the perimeter of the building..there is pond but that needs some work on it also.. The website needs up dating, we booked our room with dinner bed and breakfast, when this printed out it does not tell you you are on a set tariff when you have your dinner. We ordered from the evening dinner menu to later find out on our bill we had gone over that tariff....confusing? Yes especially when you booked an evening meal. We were felt quite cheated by this and I don't think we would return to this hotel. Shame really as just down the road is The Rookery Spa Hotel nr Nantwhich ...It out classes this hotel outright.
