Very knowledgeable staff and interesting little chapel. Picnic area across the road and an extremely interesting little cemetery across the road too.

Friendly and educational museum. Very friendly staff with a small cafe + shop. Great for families and especially school visits. Nr M6 J16 and well worth a visit.

“A great place to visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2013

From beginning to end the friendly and professional staff made our Chapel children's club visit a fantastic day out. We took a party of children ranging from 4 to 12 years old to Englesea for a day which began with dressing up and experiencing a Victorian Methodist Sunday School which the children loved, then we got to play with outdoor toys and pastimes before eating our packed lunch. Then it was gravestone rubbing in the graveyard followed by indoor Victorian toys and a session on Victorian life for ordinary children. All in all a marvellous interactive experience that I would recommend to anyone. For adults there was also the current exhibition on temperance and its aims and effects on society. Visit this gem of a museum if you are near Stoke or Crewe. Don't miss the shop.
