“Lovely house, quiet location, superb”
Reviewed 1 July 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Court Farm in June 2012. It is a lovely house with super hosts.
It is set in a quiet location, yet close enough to road and rail links to many different places and attractions. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts are excellent.
Julie was very helpful with the recommendation to visit Chester by rail (railway station in the next village) and by suggesting places on the Wirral to visit.
Parking is very safe and secure which is always welcome when staying at places.
This is one of the best B&B's we have stayed at.
Nigel & Jean.

Julie and Martin are the perfect hosts at this gorgeous B&B. The property is very old and elegant but with a very homely feel. We stayed for two nights in March and loved the place. We were welcomed on the Friday night with a reviving cup of tea and given lots of helful advice on where to eat and the best way to travel around the area. The room we stayed in was charming, spotless and had a huge ensuite bathroom with free standing bath. Breakfast each morning was cooked to order with eggs from the couples own chickens.

Really recommend this place.

We booked on the strength of other reviews and we weren't disappointed. Julie made us welcome instantly and offered plenty of suggestions for places to eat nearby. The rooms were spacious and spotless with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was cooked to order and was as fantastic too.

We found plenty to do in the surrounding area and are already planning a return visit to use as a base for travelling into Liverpool on the train to see some of the museums.

My husband and I stayed here on the recommendation of friends who live locally and it was by far the best place we stayed in during our two-month holiday. Julie and Martin's hospitality was genuine and the accommodation was first-rate. Julie's breakfast's are fantastic! We hope to return to the UK and will be sure to make our way back to Court Farm again.

I booked this B&B on the strength of the reviews and I was not disappointed. Everything is wonderful, from the hosts to the room to the food. Court Farm is in a quiet village with just a few houses but within half an hour's journey to some great places. There is free parking in Capenhurst for the Merseyrail to Liverpool or Chester. You couln't find anywhere better for location or for somewhere to stay. The host are welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. The house is wonderful, with large comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean and I have to mention the shower which is the best I have ever seen. At breakfast, the fresh fruit salad was divine ( I could have eaten it for lunch and dinner because it was so good), the cooked was fresh and tasty and it is the only B&B that I have been to where another fresh pot of tea appeared half way through. It's a great place and we'll be back.

Room Tip: Convenient for shopping, sightseeing and peace and quiet.

My wife and I stayed her for 4 nights during a visit to Chester and Merseyside and from the moment we arrived we felt at home thanks to the immediate warm welcome from our hosts.

The location is great - in a very peaceful village but close enough to main roads with easy access to Chester, the Wirral and Liverpool. The house itself is gorgeous and beautifully maintained and our bedroom was clean, comfortable and had a lovely view of the garden. Bathroom was superb with power shower, plenty of space and complimentary body lotions, shampoo etc.

Breakfast served in the big farmhouse kitchen was delicious and set us up for the day and Julie and Martin were mines of information on things to do in the area and were so friendly and helpful. Also, would thoroughly recommend The Greyhound Inn at nearby Saughall (about 7-8 minutes by car). The two meals we had there were superb and reasonably priced.

All in all it was a thoroughly pleasurable experience staying at Court Farm and the sort of place that many hoteliers could learn from. Certainly one of the best B&Bs we’ve ever stayed at. Thank you Julie and Martin for making our stay with you so enjoyable!
