This was around 15th Travelodge we had stayed in as they offer good value accessible accommodation when sadly this is still difficult to find. I was thrilled to be given a room on the top floor as the accessible rooms are usually on the ground or first floor. Being on the 4th floor at the front gave brilliant views across to Helsby Hill and I think may have been quieter than on lower floors. We stayed 6 nights and never once suffered the usual complaint at Travelodges of broken lifts and neither did we have long waits for a lift. Would agree with earlier comments that the lift area was like an oven and was surprised by the lack of air con in a new build. Otherwise definitely one of the better Travelodges. Only Travelodge where I have had good 3G coverage. Staff were very obliging and scored 11/10 for their response when we mentioned we had been disturbed one night in the early hours by inconsiderate guests. Good sized wet room with a large seat which you need to be aware gathers water that can make drying interesting! Location for us was 11/10 with lots of blue badge parking opposite the entrance that you could usually find a space in even when it was all very busy. Loved being able to get so easily to all the nearby restaurants, shops and cinema. Traffic in and out is very busy particularly at weekends. Finding the paths and dropped kerbs to get out of the immediate section took a bit of doing as they are not signed but once we did this the bus stop for regular buses to the centre of Chester and Liverpool was close by. My biggest disappointment, which is with Travelodge generally rather than this specific one, is that the advertised King Beds don't seem to apply to accessible rooms. Twin beds that are narrower than standard single beds are not what I would chose but it seems that if you need a wet room that is the only bed option.

Stayed here for my boyfriends birthday as we went shopping in the day, then out for a meal and to the cinema at night, standard travelodge hotel. No complaints. Staff were friendly and room was clean. In a great location for the shops and restaurants. Would recommend

This hotel is extremely impersonal. First the reception is on the first (USA 2nd floor) and no-one greets you in or out unless you happen to hand over money or credit cards for securing a reservation. Agree it was during the British Golf Open (about 25 - 30 miles away) but to charge £99 per night (particularly when the sign outside suggests rooms from £19) and no breakfast was another bitter disappointment. The good part was the restaurants close by for a nice evening meal. Will be avoiding this one in the future.

Staying here for 2 nights on the way home from the Lake District. Stayed here before, so knew how to access it by road - not at all obvious - you have to drive through the Restaurants / Bar areas, go round the back of the Cinema, and then park up behind the Hotel. Strange that Reception is on the 1st Floor!

Hotel is still quite new, but has had the Travelodge makeover. In all honesty, I didn't really notice any difference from the last time we stayed. Room was clean; tidy and did what we needed. Staff were great too - always happy to provide things I requested.

If you are facing the car park at the rear, you may get distrurbed by the service crews emptying rubbish skips at all hours, but they are usually only around for 5-10 minutes at a time.

The heat within the hotel is the biggest issue - public areas / corridors / lift areas are baking, and a good tip is also to request a fan for your room, as you will probably need it!

Good stopping off point for visiting Chester and North Wales or Liverpool, and Cheshire Oaks lets you Designer Shop until you drop - or until your credit card melts!!

Visitied this Travelodge before and it has now had a makeover and i have got to say wow. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, they knew everything locally. The room was clean, fair sized and everything worked!!!

I use Travelodge all the time and this has got to be one of the best!!

Myself and my Mum had planned a girls weekend away shopping at Cheshire Oaks so this hotel was an ideal spot to stay. It was within walking distance of the shops, cinema and a range of restaurants. Check-in was easy with plenty of space to park my car. The room was modern, clean and had all the simple bits that we could need. For £24 a night at the time we booked who can complain!! Definitely would return again.

Stayed here for a couple of nights as I had booked to take my granddaughter to the zoo. The location was excellent for shopping as the Outlet is situated just a short stroll away. Plenty of restaurants close by and also a cinema and bowling alley. Check-in was quick and the receptionist pleasant and helpful. We were offered a fan as the weather was very warm however this had little effect. The temperature in the room was stifling which made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. They definitely need to install air conditioning. Would book this hotel again if I was in the area, as the location was great and the price even better.
