My self and my husband went on Saturday 29.09.18. Your team our so friendly, warm welcome when you enter the store, the drinks are hot , which is great, some places we have been had to ask for them to be hot , not warm. The food was Lovely, it's not cheap for a sandwich, but you get what you pay for. Really nice place to come, have a chat etc. You got it spot on.well done

The waitress was quite charming and attentive. Sadly what she served up was quite atrocious. For £6 I expect a decent quite large sandwich made of good quality ingredients.
As soon as I bit into it the gooey steam baked bread stuck to my mouth like putty, and the ham was so salty I could not taste any significant flavour but salt. This was a sandwich from the 70s and deserved to be left there. Tiny portion and even given that and being very hungry after a long drive, I left the last quarter on the plate.
Truly the worst sandwich for decades, and at London prices.
Sorry guys. Must do better.
Tea was a bit insipid too.

This review is contrary to the majority that we receive and I doubt it's authenticity, as we are normally commended for our generous portions and quality teas.

We stopped here for lunch on a nice sunny day, so sat outside. There is a wide choice of good value items on the menu. It was very busy so we waited a while for our food but we weren't in a hurry so it didn't matter. One of our party's lunch was given to someone on another table (for some reason he didn't say it wasn't for him!) so we did not get all our food together as a result. Overall, though, it was an enjoyable lunch and we would certainly return.
