Visited Alvaston for fourth time but visit cut short due to family matters. Ended up a 1 night stay 30th August 2013. Hotel is in midst of a £12million pound re-vamp but surprisingly little disruption to guests. We had a standard room this time (visit in April was in a Signature room which was superb!)
Quality of Standard room pleasantly very good; bathroom a bit dated but functional and very clean.
Quality of entertainments (Neil Diamond tribute band) and facilities (great table tennis table, quality Archery equipment etc. ) was up to Warner's usual standard.
Meal and cabaret in marquee meant sound quality at the back was compromised a little but Hotel went out of its way to ensure guests had a good time.
we have already booke for next Spring when most of the building works will have finished.More
