You need to ring to check it’s open. Trip advisor showed it ‘open today’ (Valentine’s Day a Tuesday) but it wasn’t. But a very pleasant stroll through the adjacent park so not a complete loss.

Sorry that we were not open, always worth checking the website. It is not always the best place to view opening times on Trip Advisor.

Visited on a beautifully sunny day. Went around the boat lift and then walked along the canal both ways - very enjoyable.

Nice area ,beautiful walks along the river weaver with lovely countryside.
easy to find ,parking is around £2 for three hours.
The boat lift flatters to decieve, and the restaurant is not cheap.

But for the walks alone well worth a visit.

I am sorry that you do not feel that the coffee shop is not cheap, we hope that quality was there though.
