Very impressed with our stay. Good facilities and comfy room. Staff friendly and helpful. Would go back to this Premiere Inn if in the vicinity again. The location is good for main routes but also lots of Interesting and attractive places nearby to visit.

Stayed for one night whilst visiting local National Trust property. Usual Premier quality as described by Lennie Henry although he has never stayed at this one! Clean comfortable quiet and friendly staff. No complaints!

This hotel is very nice, clean, up to the standard you would expect from a Premier Inn. New TV's in rooms, which you can put on timer so they turn off, a feature I like.

Staff on reception were very polite and helpful, and attentive of the guests of the hotel.

The food in The Blue Cap is very nice.

The hotel is very rural, and even though on a main road, it does not disturb you.

My one complaint of the 2 night stay, was that a refuse lorry came very early on Bank Holiday Monday to do a collection. I did not appreciate this, as it woke me up, and guests are asked to be considerate of others sleeping between 10 pm and 7 am, so to come so early is not ideal and should apply to services as well.

I would recommend this hotel for travel purposes, it is not far from the Welsh Border so a good location for travelling around as a base.

Among Premier Inns this is a good one, well situated behind the pub and so very quiet given it's proximity to the road. Very friendly staff and the usual clean and comfortable rooms at a good price. Mobile phone signal is not great in the hotel but is fine in the car park. If you are a light sleeper or not wanting to rise early request a room on the upper floor as the floors creaked so you heard people moving around upstairs. We ate dinner next door at the pub and had good food and service, unfortunately this was not the case at breakfast. I should add before explaining the problem that the breakfast service is offered on behalf of the hotel at the pub and as such is not directly within their control.
Having selected the continental option we asked for the fresh fruit to be replenished as there was just a few bits floating in juice, waitress returned to say there was none left and blamed the kitchen staff for not ordering enough and that they had been very busy since 7am and suggested I had cereal. I don't expect to be told what I should eat, I expect the same choice at whatever time during breakfast service and the fresh fruit is a major part of what's offered within the continental choice. I said this wasn't acceptable especially at over £6 and asked to speak to a manager, it turned out she was the duty manager. Others in our party expressed their dissatisfaction and her response was " you don't have to have breakfast here". My response was that this was not customer service. She responded that she had apologised and there was nothing more she could do and didn't appreciate being spoken to like that. At no time time had I used abusive or threatening language or actions. Fortunately another member of staff saved the day by offering to put together a fruit selection from the kitchen store, which was a perfectly acceptable alternative and her attitude was excellent.
On checking out the hotel manager asked for details of the problem and promised to raise the issue with the restaurant manager on their return from holiday.
This was I think a problem with one member of staff and should in no way prevent you from staying at the hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us. As I said at the time, I'm very sorry to hear about the problem you had with breakfast but as you can tell from the other reviews that this is an isolated incident. However, I do understand how upset you were and the feedback to the restaurant manager will be acted upon.
It's great to hear you enjoyed staying with us and we do hope to see you again.

Very quiet setting being behind the adjacent pub/restaurant and therefore insulated from traffic noise from the main road. Exceptionally friendly and helpful local ladies on reception. New flat screen TV's in rooms, although they do encroach a bit on the desk top space if you need to spread out paperwork to work with. Maybe would ask for a room at back next time as those overlooking the front suffer from people from the pub returning to their cars oblivious to how close they are to people trying to get a nights sleep. With the Travelodge at Lymm Services having recently ceased trading, this is a suitable nearby alternative for touring the area, if you can get the £29 rate.

Another superb stay - thanks. Travelled alone & didn't feel awkward sitting in the tasteful restaurant attached doing my computer work. Thank you to the young man who served my table - efficient & extremely polite. Lady on the front desk at reception talked 'at' me far too much after a long hard day but hey - not the end of the world !! One of the better Premier Inns by far.
