16 golfer decended on this pub on a sunday night for a drink as the hotel we were staying at was expensive. We took over the games room and the landlord and staff and locals were top class and very friendly. We found out that it was a B&B and the rates looked very good it is one we will be staying at if we are down there again paying golf. Far better than the big hotel chains

Pleased. A warm welcome and very quickly shown to our room which was spacious, clean and comfortable and very fairly priced.
All of the staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nicely cooked and fresh and served in a very timely manner.
Will definitely use the B&B again.
Thanks.

I stumbled across this online. I thought right nice and cheap and above a pub. Excellent!! Very friendly staff. They were more than happy to help. The room was immaculate. Breakfast was amazing, cereals and fruit as well as the full English. Couldn't ask for anything more. There is also an outdoor terrace balcony area for residents. Very close to everything you need. Thank you very much.

Stayed here to attend a wedding at Peckforton Castle, 6 miles door to door, or a £15 (ish) taxi ride each way. Its a popular pub in a pretty Cheshire village, sensibly priced beer and food and proper good fry up for breakfast, although they will give you whatever you want, poached eggs etc. Stuart and Andrea ,the proprietors , are really helpful. Friendly staff and friendly locals, would recommend this as much cheaper option to the castle.

I stayed here in may and thought it was great. The staff are friendly and welcoming and what was also nice is that the locals are too. Good selection of drinks and lovely food. I found the pub to be well situated as it was easy to get to surrounding areas, the landlord even gave us a lift to the nearby train station so we could get to Manchester. Definite value for money and I would recommend it to anybody
