We stayed for 1 night in May 2014
Arrived and allpwed to check in early as the hotel looked after our cases as we went to look round the village
Our room was in the Coach House which is across the courtyard from the main hotel, Room was modern and spacious and very quiet
Throughout our stay the staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The waitresses were particularly good. Hotel is excellently located in the centre of the village and would be ideal as a centre for visits to Chester and anywhere else in Cheshire
I would definately stay here again

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the Coach House

Lovely hotel. Friendly, smiling and helpful staff. Rooms are bright, clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast choice was good and plentiful but some cheese variety could be introduced. Great location in Tarporley high street. Good internet connection and parking facilities. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending to family and friends and to going back. However
if one chooses the front rooms of the hotel leaving the window open during the night for some fresh air would be a problem as there is some traffic in the High Street and the town church bells ring every hour day and night. There are not lifts so make sure you pack a light suitcase as hotel does not offer a porter service and make sure to book ground floor accommodation if you have mobility problems. Apart from these two minor issues I did enjoy our weekend stay.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel are full of light and lovely,. However the high street noise and the town clock bells would be a problem during the night if you choose to keep your windows open for some fresh air like we do.

If you want a Country Pub that serves good food and real ale then look no further.
The pub is a centre for the locals and also has a busy Restaurant and Hotel. If you want a morning coffee, a light lunch or an evening meal this pub will provide it. In winter there are real fires.
Don't expect new and modern decor. This is an old coaching in and still looks the part.

We stayed here for one night on our visit to Oulton Park race circuit. Very convenient for track. Good car parking facilities. Hotel had a great atmosphere. Comfortable room. Very good breakfast. We will keep it in mind for future visits to that area.

Room Tip: Room 16 had a normal double bed which we found a bit narrow as we are used to a king size.

Had a recent one nighter here. Brilliant cozy inn, lovely quirky snugs to let you get some chit chat with my other half while slowly getting drunk!
Enjoyed some fabulous food yet again, and then stayed in the Four Poster suite, had an excellent night.
Comfy, very clean and everyone is exceptionally friendly as always, followed by a magnificent freshly cooked English breakfast.
Brilliant again!
