“Do not go when the Creamfields Festival is On!”
Reviewed 1 September 2012

The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff on reception are superb! Unfortunately, due to drunk and drugged up people wearing wellies, who were at the Creamfields Festival, we did not sleep for 2 nights. I would not recommend this hotel if the Creamfields Festival is on, but I would think any other time, you would have a lovely stay.

Room Tip: Have a room on the top floor

Fantastic 2 nights at this hotel. Great friendly staff, great facilities on site and generally a brilliant hotel. clean 10/10 staff 10/10 and setting 10/10 (for couples, business and families) My partner and myself throughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed here for one night, which happened to be the night they cancelled a nearby music festival. Hotel is very clean, well located for activities and connected to a very good (and very new) restaurant too. All good points, and staff at hotel and reaturant were outstanding.

However, we ended up taking the offer of a full refund on the Premier Inn good night sleep guarantee since our room (no.4) seemed poorly sound insulated from the one above. Our fellow residents above us weren't excessively noisey, but were less in need of sleep than us since they walked up and down their room all night - this transformed into deep resonant noise in our room, with a hint of treble coming from a loose ceiling light fitting. Not the staff's fault, and they were brilliant in trying to resolve the issue, but on reflection, we would return to our regular Rainhill Premier Inn where the beds are bigger, the shower more powerful and the sound insulation much better.

Room Tip: Given our experience regarding poor noise insulation from rooms above, would ask for top floor room...

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children. I have been to ALOT of Premier Inn's and this is by far the best by a mile. Room huge, the kids had proper beds, air con... Staff really friendly. The Brewers Fayre attached was really nice, breakfast lovely. Lots nearby to do. Cinema, bowling, Nandos, Frankie and Benny's, a big tesco, and a retail park with a M&S, Next, Wilko etc... I only booked this one because it had the £29 offer on and it wasn't too far from where we needed to be (Warrington) but I would go back here again if we needed to be in the North west again. I am very hard to please but this was BRILLIANT!!

I was really impressed with this hotel. The location was really good as you could walk into town and there were plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. There were also walks you could do along the river etc. The reception staff were nice, friendly and helpful. The room was large enough for myself, husband and my teenage daughter and as it was a new hotel everything was nice and fresh looking. There was a cinema and bowling alley just round the corner and there was loads of parking. We booked the hotel early so only paid £29 which was really good value.
We had breakfast at the Buffet Place next door which was very nice apart from the hash browns and the service was very friendly.
Would happily stay here again.

Fantastic Stay, warm and welcoming staff, and the restaurant (Buffet Place) was first class!!
Booked for a weeks stay, and used the hotel as a base for our many planned day trips. Room very comfortable, clean and the addition of air con was most welcome! Can't think of anything to fault Premier Inn on. Totally satisfied customer!!
