“Simply the best”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

This is a first for me but as a highly experienced traveller in GB and worldwide; I have to echo previous comments. This B&B is an absolute gem - and deserves shouting about.

Stayed for 1 night before Liverpool Tri - with a very early get away due to race start time; and other atypical B&B guest needs which goes with taking sport seriously. From the minute I arrived there was amazing hospitality from Dave and great advice which helped make my evening and race day logistics run perfectly. I cannot recall better anywhere.

The room was great with a really comfortable bed and there is a range of facilities you can use indoors and out - I did not get the opportunity to exploit all but anyone staying multiple nights will have plenty to entertain them - adult or child alike. Dave likes to run it as a home from home and it really does feel like that.

The games room is fabulous and has to be experienced - I had a fun evening playing pool with Dave and his friend; and we had a great laugh (shame I could not share a beer). I found it to be the perfect base for the Mersey area - with quick access into Liverpool but it would also be the same for Widnes, Warrington and Runcorn. So for anyone working in the area - look this B&B up.

In terms of value for money and quality of service - I challenge someone to find better.

I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality of this B&B. Clean, bright, recently decorated, good décor with very friendly, caring, welcoming & helpful hosts. There was plenty of choice for breakfast with a cold buffet & individually served cooked breakfast. Vicky & Dave were so helpful in directing me to local amenities that I might need & were concerned about my safety when they could not see my car & thought I had not returned. Although I did not make use of the games room, gym or sauna, they all looked new & well equipped. I grew up a few miles away but moved south 40+ years ago, so was delighted to find this rural location still remained near the larger towns that I knew.

Room Tip: My room was a special offer, excellent rate, but it was a twin that may be more appropriate for male...

From the moment we arrived, we were "WOW'd" by all aspects of this lovely B & B - certainly a cut above most others that we have experienced. Vicky and Dave are perfect hosts and very welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is spotless, tastefully decorated and "home from home". The Games Room is a central hub where guests can mingle and enjoy the pool table, have a chat and listen to music etc. There is a well stocked bar but you are also welcome to bring your own. Although not a self catering place, you are also welcomed to use cutlery and crockery from their kitchen. There is a lovely spacious lounge with large flat screen TV, WIFI, video games etc. There is a sauna, sun room and gym too with plenty of on-site secure parking, huge garden and bikes / toys for the little ones. The cooked breakfast is delicious with a good selection of yoghurts, cereals, pastries, fruit etc. Although classed as Widnes, it is only about 10 miles from Liverpool centre, a piece of the country side on the edge of the city. Also within a short distance of John Lennon airport. Very affordable accommodation and not to be missed - you can't fail to enjoy ! ! It deserves all of the brilliant reviews.

Room Tip: 4 rooms are ensuite, 4 share a bathroom which doesn't seem to be a problem.

We stayed a night here and can thoroughly recommend it.
Vicky provided a lovely breakfast that kept us going for the rest of the day!
The room and ensuite were spotlessly clean, and the beds comfortable.

Only booked one night and wished I had booked two! Place was easy to find and plenty of off road parking. Spotless home and rooms comfortably furnished, bed very comfortable with good breakfast served. Dave and Vicki were delightful hosts and made suggestions on where to eat plus how to get there. Don't expect shops to be next door, yes there is a small pub but it is a semi rural location and quite.

Room Tip: Note no pool but has a sauna and games room

I arrived very very late only to be greeted with a smile and a cold cider! It was a working trip so I didn't get to enjoy the sauna & rumpus room as by the time I got back from the office it was straight to bed with another cold beer! And in the morning I had to rush off again nearly taking the gate key with me! Fortunately Dave was there to remember for me. I was very well looked after and would definitely recommend Tomaria to friends and family. It was like being looked after by a family member. They were so easy going and supportive to this weary traveller. Thank you

Room Tip: I had room 5 it was immaculate
