Relaxing hotel with good service and food. Comfortable bed overlooking great gardens. My only criticism is that the tables in the restaurant are too close to each other, so no privacy. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Room 209 overlooks the stream in the garden and you can hear it throughout the night

I stayed for one night in this hotel with my partner. It was a great room with very comfortable bed. We had dinner that evening and the food was excellent. The service was also second to none. The only reason I'm not awarding full points is the room was very hot and there was no air con.

lovel area and a nice hotel to service it. the staff are , in the main, eastern European and their command of English is excellent. I could not fault their work ethic, they were excellent.
the room i had featured a lake view. it was very comfortable and clean.
The food was ok, not gourmet but very acceptable made up for with excellent service.

theres not a lot to do in the immediate area superb for peace and quiet. The falls is at the back of the hotel and is beautiful.

Room Tip: lake view preferably

Now this is a difficult one - most of the hotels in Lake District are of the same sort - a little dated but as most of your time will be spent out side not a major problem perhaps. We were there for just 2 nights treating aging parents so hotel suited them wonderfully. We paid extra for a lake view room which as we were on the very furthest end of the first floor was pushing the imagination somewhat !
This was however the hotest spell I've ever know in the lakes - brilliant for the wonderful day time drives but with no air conditioning - nightmare at night and very very uncomfortable in the restaurant.
Food and wine list was very very good - above expectations athough far too many staff in restaurant so a little intrusive and overcrowded at times.
Indoor smimming pool far too small for a proper swim but good for little ones to spash around. Delightful grounds although not right on the lake as pictures would suggest but just a short walk away to the ferry boat.
What put me right off and the reson for 'NO - I would not go again' - an overheard conversation between the male manager and a male member of staff discussing a potential new recruit - quote 'very pretty, great figure etc' the rest of that conversation I will not disclose here.
So sorry Lodore Falls - if this is the attitude from the top - you don't deserve my custom again.

Room Tip: Choose Lake View - 2nd floor.

My first visit to Lodore and will definitely visit again. The staff were fantastic - helpful and friendly but not obtrusive. The food, particularly for a large group, was excellent and as a vegetarian the veggie options were very much appreciated. Lodore is in a fabulous location - if you get chance do visit Patty+ the watersports centre across the road.

Room Tip: We booked a standard room - there are some rooms at the top of the hotel with great views over the lake
