Andy Luck and I visited Brougham Hall recently and we really enjoyed a meal from the Fusion Cafe and took some good photos. There's no fixed fee, but they ask for a donation to assist with the restoration project. The place has a lot of character, nice features for photography and a mellow atmosphere generally. We enjoyed watching the House Martins hawking for insects and building nests while we ate al fresco. My smoked chicken and mayonnaise baguette was very delicious and it was nice talking to members of the artisan community there about their work and the restoration of the buildings.
For a general visit and meal I rate it as very good, as a venue for theatrical performance it was excellent. I saw Romeo and Juliet there previously, and the location really added value. They served a great G&T too.
