“Wonderful Stay In The Lakes”
Reviewed 29 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Our first stay at The Chalets and our first stay in the south west of the Lake District and what a fantastic place to stay and area to visit. We stayed in 'Larch' which was a wonderful two bedroom chalet with all the comforts of home you could wish for. We were given a really friendly greeting on arrival and presented with lovely home baked carrot cake that went down very well indeed, the owners are on hand for anything you may need but, are never intrusive. The nearby village of Boot has two great pubs, the Eskdale to Ravenglass Railway and some lovely walks for walkers of all levels. All in all this parts of the Lakes is a wonderful place to visit, we will definitely be back and will definitely stay at The Chalets again.

“The Chalets, Willow”
Reviewed 1 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Excellent accommodation, good sized bedrooms and living area, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Central heating kept the place warm. A good standard of furnishings and crockery, with good wifi connection.
2 bath towels and one hand towel for the week was rather less than might be expected given the standard of all other aspects of the chalet, especially for sweaty walkers.
The grounds are superb with excellent views from the chalet.
Although awkward to reach from the east, the area has more than enough interesting walks to fill a week or two and makes the journey worth it. There is also an excellent restaurant at the Brook House Inn just 10 minutes walk away.
Bring your shopping for the stay as the nearest supermarket is 40 minutes away.

“Stunning accommodation in beautiful surroundings”

Amazed by how they had thought of everything. The chalet was spotless, homely and beautifully decorated. Local amenities were good and a great base for walking in Eskdale. Many thanks, would highly recommend.

“fantastic stay with a great price”
Reviewed 26 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We have just come back from a weekend at the 'The Chalets', we stayed in Larch which was spotless, fully equipped kitchen, crisp white bed linen, comfy beds, towels provided, full size bath with shower over bath for a fantastic cost of £60 per night, lovely views over a huge garden. Walking distance to pubs with good food. We were really impressed with the chalets and would have no hesitation in recommending the 'The Chalets' as a lovely place to stay

“Great Choice”
Reviewed 10 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

Two friends and I enjoyed a lovely December weekend in Larch, The Chalets. The Chalets are presented very well, lovely and warm, very clean and well equipped accommodation, in particularly the kitchen.

We enjoyed a few trips out to Wastwater and Ravenglass and generally enjoying the local area which is beautiful!

Definitely recommend the The Chalets - we would love to return in the future!

“Excellent!”
Reviewed 10 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Stayed here for a short break with friends while we walked Scafell Pike and in the surrounding area. Incredibly warm welcome form Phil and his mother upon arrival. We found the chalet scrupulously clean and tidy with great views of the garden and surrounding scenery. The location is perfect for the local steam railway and as a base for the quieter walking routes up Scafell Pike and surrounding peaks. Phil was very amenable and very generous with his time while recommending the local Brook House Inn as a good place to eat and drink. I hope to stay here again.
