We hadn't been here for years but were delighted to find the Newfield unchanged and as lovely as ever. A very welcoming traditional pub and the coffee was so good that I had a second cup - almost unheard of. The log stove was great and the magnificent slate floors alone are worth a journey! We didn't eat here on this occasion but the blackboard menu looked very appealing and diners round about were tucking in with gusto.
We will be back.
