“Chip Allergy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

I visited the Black Cock with the family looking forward to having Gammon and Chips, which unfortunately had the skin on. As my daughter in law is allergic to potato skins we were disappointed and had to find another restaurant where they peeled the potatoes.

Hello regarding your review that was very kind of you to judge when your group hadn't actually eaten with us, regarding your "chip allergy" I'm certain if you asked and explained the chef would of have catered to your needs regarding an allergy, I'm sure trip advisor is for reviews where food and service has been experienced and/or accommodation & hospitality so thankyou very much regards the owners

“Poor Ale”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

Only rating the beer not the food, I requested a pint of bitter the first one I tried was called Copper Dragon (forgive me if I am wrong on the name) it tasted nothing like the bitter I am used to, so decided to try the Theakstons Dark and Smooth, it was awful it was tainted and I had to leave most of It.
