We have just returned from a two night stay with our dog, Tina made us feel very welcome and6 the Garden Room was lovely with the added benefit of its own front door. The breakfast was excellent all locally sourced one of the best we have tasted. This is an ideal location for a dog friendly break the local pub called the Crown also made us feel very welcome and the food was delicious.

We had a wonderful time in the Blue House BnB. We stayed for one night and had a brilliant breakfast in the morning!! With plenty of choice and homemade pancakes made our stay even more enjoyable. Situated in a beautiful location, close enough to get to anywhere around Windermere and surrounding villages, but hidden away from the madness of Bowness on Windermere. Tina was a great host with a strong understanding of the local area and was more than happy to help and point us in the right direction. Room was immaculate and spacious making it the comfiest night sleep we'd had in a while! Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying in the lakes and will hopefully be staying there again soon ourselves!! Many many thanks, Sam and Charlotte

After exploring my Irish travellers roots I wanted to experience a Gypsy caravan stay. It was very different to what I would usually book and I did not sleep well at all but it is defiantly a one I will remember and am pleased I did. We went to the Crown for our dinner but was not impressed, the food was average at best but the open fire saved the day. When the candles in the caravan were lit it looked very romantic and I have never seen some many stars they were beautiful. As explained by previous reviewers the shower room and tea coffee making facilities were over the forecourt (the tea and coffee were free and available at all times) and the use of a torch was need as it was very dark; this added to the experience for me though. Also on the plus side were the views, the chickens, the breakfast and the owners who were very nice people.

We have just had a wonderful break in the Lakes. Our first night was spent at The Blue House, we were not disappointed. The location is beautiful & Tina a great host, all the little touches make a big difference. Tina's flap jacks were as good as we had hoped, our room was so cozy, we did not venture out until the next morning for a delicious breakfast. I had the best nights sleep I have had in a very long time. We would definitely recommend The Blue House to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

We just got back from a one night stay at The Blue House in the Garden Room. Lovely location, amazing flap jacks and just the most wonderful cozy room - plus dogs and chickens - we were in our element.

Loved the personal touches and great host, Tina. It's a lifestyle to die for and we wished it was ours 24/7.
