There is not much I can add to the previous reviews except to echo their comments. We stayed at forest how guest house for two nights in a double en-suite room. The room had a fabulous view and we watched deer in the near by field on the second morning. The room itself was a little small, but it had tea/coffee making facilities and a tv. The shower was a bit temperamental.
The breakfast was super and certainly set us up for the day. John and Deb who run the guest house couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. They obviously love this place and who could blame them.
As previously mentioned the bird life around the guest house is tremendous and the red squirrels quite a treat.
We were recommended to walk down to one of the local pubs (about 20 minutes amble). The food wasn't great but it meant we didn't have to drive so we could both have a drink.
Had forest how offered evening food we wouldn't have hesitated to eat there and continue to enjoy the wonderful ambiance.
Would we stay here again? Absolutely yes.
