Description: A warm and welcoming real ale pub, wine and cafe bar in a beautiful part of the southwest Lakes. The Punch Bowl is a laid-back, country Inn in the best traditions and we'll always try to accommodate our customers wishes...if you want something...there's no harm in asking! We serve meals on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings and our food is all made on the premises, covering a wide range of styles on our constantly changing menu. We take bookings for parties of all kinds and can open outside normal hours for private gatherings. The pub is the tap for Beckstone's Brewery and their award-winning beers and we also stock a selection of other local beers as well as some great favourites. Wine drinkers will not be disappointed by our list.

If you want great pub food reasonably priced go the The Punchbowl. An extensive variety of locally produced beers and ales. Friendly staff and host - what more could you ask? Nick does a great job of varying the menu so you get a fantastic choice and wonderful quality food and ales.

Thanks to the warm and welcoming team, who were really friendly and served us wonderful food with a smile and a story. We loved the pub and will come back next time we come to ride at the Heavy Horse centre around the corner!

I visited this pub last year. Nice atmosphere- menu was excellent. Spoilt for choice. All home made food. Pub clean. I enjoyed sitting in the beer garden in the sun. Lovely quiet location. The owners of this place clearly put a lot of effort in. Definitely worth a visit - advisable to book a table in advance.

Were staying locally and had dinner here one night (be careful, as they don't serve food every evening) which was very nice. Unusual selection of dishes on the menu, which I get the impression they change each evening. Had Thai Curry and Cassoulet, so not your usual English country pub fayre! Really nicely decorated dining room, not too many tables so plenty of space around. Nice bar area, good local crowd, and good selection of local ales.

Thanks for your lovely review. You're right, we do change the menu a lot (although there's always gammon and steak available), it keeps it fresh for the customers and for us in the kitchen.
Hope we'll see you again sometime!
