We just had a wonderful 3 nights here! We chose Hill Crest because of its proximity to Bigland Hall Equestrian Centre where my 6 year old daughter wanted to do some riding, and from tripadvisor reviews... none of these were exaggerations! Jane deserves all the accolades she gets! Her attention to detail is extraordinary - you'll have everything you need, the cleanliness is 5* and the breakfast, superb. It's at the quieter end of Windermere... but close enough if you fancy a bit of town bustle! We'll come again, and would higly recommend staying here! Thanks Jane! Steve, Jackie & Hannah, Malaysia.

Just got home today from a delightful 3 day stay at the Hill Crest. Jane is such a lovely lady. Nothing i too much trouble. Natasha completed the team of this excellent, charming and relaxing Guest house. There was not one thing we could have complained about..apart that the time went far to quickly. We have already recommended Jane to others. We will be returning again for longer next time. Jane is a credit to her own business. if it was possible we would give 20*. Wishing you continued business Jane
for the future,. Thank you so much Miriam & Steve Leicester

Room Tip: Just read these reviews and act on them you will not be disappointed Every room is delightful.

Had a fabulous two nights here at this charming B&B, on the quieter side of Windermere. Jane couldn't have been more helpful, suggesting some lovely walks well worth the effort and making us feel very welcome. The rooms were immaculate and bed very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, especially the eggs benedict. Would highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful time in this b&b. Jane was very helpful, helping us planning our days in the lakes . She gave us good tips for trips and restaurants (Kings arms pub in Cartmel was excellent). The room is very nice and clean and the breakfast is great.

My husband and I have just returned from 4 nights staying at Hill Crest in the beautiful four poster room with double aspect views. We chose this B&B from previous reviews and we were certainly not disappointed. As another reviewer has said it was like staying with a good friend. Jane really looked after us and helped with advice on where to walk in the hot weather. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. We would definitely return and would recommend to anyone.

We've just got back from a lovely couple of nights stop over at this fantastic B&B. The rooms are beautifully detailed (not to mention immaculately clean), the host couldn't be more friendly, helpful or welcoming, and the quality of food was superb! (Including home made scones on arrival and yummy biscuits throughout our stay). If all B&Bs were like this then hotels would disappear overnight! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Oops - no swimming pool of course (ticked that by mistake!) Although there are a couple of nice spas...

My wife received 2 nights at Hillcrest as a 50th birthday present from her brother & sister and what a gift! Hillcrest is a beautiful home from home, Jane is a wonderful host, everything was immaculate and we had a wonderful visit to the Lakes. We will be reccomending Hillcrest to friends & family and hope to return again soon.
