After booking the day before, I can't believe how lucky I was to find such a great B & B. Everything you would want whilst away from home - comfortable beds, clean rooms, great breakfast. I agree that Jane is the perfect host and was born to do this. I hope to return again to the Lake District and will without doubt be staying at Hill Crest.

Jane was born to host and hillcrest is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It's in a great location and with a car you really do have everything at your fingertips.

Great breakfast and advise on nearby services. A great stay and good value at £40 each for three sharing a room.

Jane is the perfect host - greeting us with a welcome cup of tea and scones. Her Guest House is one of the best we have stayed in. Spotless with everything that you require. Wonderful breakfasts looking onto her garden. Jane gave us details of the area and a map with a route marked out for us. She recommended somewhere for an evening meal which was so good we went back the next night. Would highly recommend Hill Crest.

Room Tip: We booked Jane's last room which was I think her smallest. Nothing at all wrong with it but if...

My girlfriend surprised me for my birthday with a 2 night stay at this amazing B&B. We stayed in the four poster room which was extremely spacious with a very nice ensuite bathroom. Jane was very hospitable throughout our stay from the moment we arrived, bringing us coffee and homemade scones, to when we left, giving us her fluffy pancake recipe. The 2 course breakfast came with its own menu and deserves a review in itself.

The B&B is ideally located at the south of Lake Windermere and we managed to have 3 fun filled days visiting various locations.

Hopefully be back again the next time we visit the Lake District.

We just had a wonderful 3 nights here! We chose Hill Crest because of its proximity to Bigland Hall Equestrian Centre where my 6 year old daughter wanted to do some riding, and from tripadvisor reviews... none of these were exaggerations! Jane deserves all the accolades she gets! Her attention to detail is extraordinary - you'll have everything you need, the cleanliness is 5* and the breakfast, superb. It's at the quieter end of Windermere... but close enough if you fancy a bit of town bustle! We'll come again, and would higly recommend staying here! Thanks Jane! Steve, Jackie & Hannah, Malaysia.

Just got home today from a delightful 3 day stay at the Hill Crest. Jane is such a lovely lady. Nothing i too much trouble. Natasha completed the team of this excellent, charming and relaxing Guest house. There was not one thing we could have complained about..apart that the time went far to quickly. We have already recommended Jane to others. We will be returning again for longer next time. Jane is a credit to her own business. if it was possible we would give 20*. Wishing you continued business Jane
for the future,. Thank you so much Miriam & Steve Leicester
