This was a clean and modern cottage just as described. Tony the owner met us and showed us how to work everything and gave us many ideas whilst staying and for the future. Thank you we will be back for more.

“Excellent!”

Beautiful location and fantastic cottage! Tony was very helpful and the beers, nibbles and breakfast supplies were a lovely personal touch. We felt totally relaxed all weekend and enjoyed watching the steam trains go past the end of the garden. Also there are some lovely pubs within walking distance, and the A-Z of things to do that Tony provided gave us plenty of ideas for activities while we were there. Thank you again!

The cottage was absolutely immaculate. We met Tony on our day of arrival, were he had drinks in the fridge for us, & supplied us with all the leaflets & information we needed with regards, what to see & do.The lakeside & haverwaite steam train runs right past the bottom of the front garden, & can be boarded just a 2 min walk away at newby bridge stop. In the 3 days we were there, we went horse racing at cartmel, done the scenic drives, toured the lakes, motor museum & aquarium & took a trip on the steam train. Overall an excellent place to stay tour the lake district & surrounding areas

Was looking for a relaxing break with my wife & two children ages 9 & 7 and that's exactly what I got.

The cottage was lovely, very cosy & refurbished to a very high standard with everything a small family would need for a break away. Tony the owner was brilliant. Very informative with things to do locally & couldn't do enough to make sure the stay was pleasurable.
The location is also ideal - just South of Windermere, it's quiet enough to get away from it all or a short drive to places of interest. The Swan Hotel is facing the cottage & has a little park out the back for the children and a great selection of food & beverages meaning you don't have to venture far if you don't want.

I would highly recommend & will be visiting again.
