Having stayed at the campsite earlier this year, we were disappointed with the poor attitude of staff. Unhelpful, unfriendly and unreasonable. Foul language was used with us more than one occasion and some staff in the brotherswater demonstrated a similar level of poor customer service.

Compared to other Lake District pubs, the ale here is is expensive. Beware of tourist prices. £3-60 paid for a 4% ale last night, there really is no need to charge these profiteering prices when other pubs charge £2-90 to £3-00 a pint. The range of 4 different ales was good though.
Not a pub for anyone with walking difficulties either. I climbed several steep steps to enter the pub and the large noisy bar area when full of people is off-puttig. There is no cosy area to this pub.

spent a night here in Brotherswater inn ,room was small and bathroom was smaller ,all nice and clean though, food was excellent both evening meal and breakfast was plentiful and of good quality, staff were very helpful and friendly.Location was idyllic ,also considering the fact that it was really quite busy they coped very well and the food was served up piping hot and speedily as well .I have payed a lot more money and not enjoyed myself as much .If you want the ritz go somewhere else ,but if you want great value, great location, and great food then this is for you ,i will certainly be back

Room Tip: room 8 had a great view towards Place fell and Angletarn pikes

Virgin camper! Beautiful site, stunning surroundings, lovely walks. Helpful staff. Quiet at night. Would be perfect if they updated the toilet and shower facilities-they are clean but very outdated and need a lot of work. Don't bother eating at the Brotherswater Inn, overpriced, poor quality.

THE BEST lamb Henry! Great walk along the lake from our cottage we hired for 2 weeks, shame we only figured out we could walk on the 2nd week! Great friendly staff, beautiful log fire that the dogs or us didn't want to move away from. Great place to camp, in the right weather of course.
