We arrived here on Monday at 4pm and stayed for 4 nights.
There are currently 12 units however plenty of building work continued throughout our stay so that another 2 would be completed soon.
The area is wonderful with the Kirkstone pass a few minutes away,Aira force and Ullswater steamers at Glenridding are 20 minutes and 10 minutes respectively and the area is surrounded by stunning walks.
Some things just were not right concerning this particular site.....WiFi was non existent in our lodge so throughout the 5 days we all had to walk across to reception and use the WiFi supplied there.
The manager did inform us it was repaired on Thursday, the day before we left.
Our toilet played up from the second day and was blocked until Thursday morning....we did not report this but eventually unblocked it ourselves.
Work continued daily as a few of my pictures show,we were told it would be completed by the 10th April but was still happening up until the 18th (and possibly beyond, we left early on 19th).
Once things are completed this will be a great little place to stay but sadly not during our week at Hartsop Fold.
As for the lodges, they are well equipped with a microwave, plenty of cooking utensils, hairdryers,an excellent shower, decent towels and a good outdoor area to sit on......the manageress was a character and her little dog rose was very friendly too.....I just wish that the work had been completed when we were told it would be.

We rented 4 of these for a family get together. For the price we held our breath and hoped for the best. The best for that price is what we got. The lodges were were ery clean and tidy with bright and clean towels and bed linen. The lodges are fully equipped with everything you could need. The walks around the lodges were abundant so we parked the cars and then didn't use them again until we left. As it was winter and therefore dark by 6 we didn't venture out on foot as it was too dark. However the lodges had a good music speaker and tv n DVD player so we still had plenty to keep us occupied. We would definitely visit again. Lovely.

We have stayed here many times and always enjoyed it for the beautiful and quiet location., which makes you feel a part of the wonderful countryside
A car is a must but that is not a problem, as every thing is provided. The properties clean and tidy and have recently been upgraded with full central heating, drying room, and fully equipped accommodation. There is a modern a laundry room, and information area with wifi.
The lodges are pet friendly ideal for our small terrier to enjoy our holiday

This was our second visit to Hartsop and again not disappointed. The lodges where clean and tidy and had everything we required. The only drawback maybe for some people is that you have to go into the next village for milk etc but that was not a problem for us as we where out and about and collected groceries as required.
Its a very quiet peaceful area and in some lodges dogs are allowed.
Cant wait visit again.

We recently stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay in the well equipped, comfortable and clean pet free Lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful nothing was any trouble. Hartsop Fold is an ideal starting point for doing various fell walks and is situated outside the village of Hartsop in a very quiet and peaceful location but Windermere and Ambleside are accessible via Kirkstone Pass with Patterdale, Glenridding and Ullswater close by in the other direction. We would definitely go back!
