Came here with my mum on the way to our hotel in Broughton in Furness to break up our journey and I'm so glad we did! It's lovely, we got to see meerpups and snow leopard kittens up close! The snow leopards enclosure is surrounded by see through Perspex with a Perspex tunnel running through the middle, whilst we were in the tunnel the male snow leopard jumped on top of the tunnel and we had the perfect view of his paws. I loved the lemur enclosure as you can get close to them and they can come out to see you, if they want to that is!
We only walked round half of this oasis but would have stayed a lot longer if it weren't just a stop on journey. We bought a yearly pass as it's not too far away and a perfect destination for me to take my camera. The pass was only £25 and because we bought it that day we had the cost of the tickets refunded, £19.90 for two adults.

We visited here yesterday and were really impressed. The animals were in good surroundings and well looked after, the staff were friendly and informative and it was disabled friendly. We did not think it was overpriced. We had coffee and cake in the cafe and it was lovely. We were worried about visiting after reading some reviews but had a really good time. Don't be put off. We didn't manage to see the baby snow leopards as they stayed inside but everything else was seen. Loved the baby meerkats.

Yes it a small Wildlife Oasis but they have a good mixture of Wildlife. The Oasis have a large range of animals and birds roaming free, (great for the kids). *The adult snow leopards and their cubs was in their own enclosure, you can walk through the enclosure but you are safe in the perspex tunnel. At feeding times you can have your children feed some of the small animals - the children loved being in the Meercat enclosure feeding them with a keeper. The area of leaf carring ants was fantastic, there was ropes tied up around the room with the busy ants taking leaves to their nest - they dont eat the leaves but the fungus of the rotting leaves creates their food. Now me and my wife have checked it out, we will be back with our grandchildren before they start back at school in September.

Overpriced - This zoo has the potential to be fantastic however it is run down and shabby a lot of the enclosures are dirty and badly maintained. The volunteers time could also be managed more effectively by asking them to paint a fence or have a tidy round instead of as we witnessed today 2 volunteers sat on the floor of the car park pulling out weeds I'm afraid weeds are the least of your worries. I really wish we had spent the extra hour in the car to visit one of the other zoos we came away disappointed and saddened after less than an hour. :(
