A very warm friendly welcome on arrival and being shown to a luxurious room, with every convenience expected of a luxury Guest House. Local amenities are available nearby and also in the surrounding area with Hawes conveniently close. Excellent Breakfast, and the hosts were able to give us valuable tips on accessing local features and beauty spots to visit, which we may not have discovered otherwise, and which of those would fit in with our itinerary in the limited time we had available before returning to York. We would certainly return again if we revisit this area.

Room tip: Ground Floor accommodation is very convenient The Bridleway Room

Spent 4 nights here- it's immaculately clean, shower was hot and powerful, no scale!!!
The food is fantastic, (bonus that they do evening snacks too).
Karen and Peter are very pleasant hosts and knowledgeable about the area. They really seem to care that you have a lovely time. Also as well as being in the Dales, Garsdale is not far from the Lakes too so there is plenty to do and see.
We would definitely recommend this establishment.

Good to be back again it's beginning to feel like our second home. I think this is the sixth time we have stayed here in five years and I have to say these are the nicest people my husband and myself have met. We are always greeted with a smile and a chat on a morning to catch up on events from the day before. the breakfasts are excellent and plentiful as always, the rooms are always clean and tidy. Karen (for the hospitality) and Peter (the master chef of the good fry up!) make you feel so welcome that you are reluctant to leave and go home. Thanks again for a great stay and catch up, can't wait to see what you've be up to next time we come.

Room tip: This b&b is only three bedrooms so it is very quiet, we always have the Ladyanne suite

Me & my wife traveled to the Dales for a short walking holiday, just 3 nights. We found this B&B on TripAdvisor, and quickly booked due to the many excellent reviews.

We arrived on Friday evening and were given a warm welcome by Karen who showed us around the B&B, room and facilities. Free Parking is available around the back of the B&B, with easily enough room for 5 vehicles.

We stayed in the 'Lady Anne' room, which was lovely. Spacious, with a big comfy bed, HDTV, DVD player and TV Box. Bathroom was a decent size, and the shower was excellent. The views from the north window is spectacular. The room was pretty warm, due to the recent muggy weather, but the air conditioning soon brought the temp down to comfortable levels. Tea & Coffee Facilities were very good, proper 'Yorkshire' tea bags, and Karen fetched us 'real' milk, instead of the usual plastic things you usually get in B&B's.

The breakfast is superb, a proper 'walkers' breakfast. You could manage all day on it, but we did get a packed lunch on the Saturday as we knew we'd be out until quite late and had a 14 mile walk planned. The sandwiches were lovely. Just enough to keep you going until Dinner. We ate them at the top of Wild Boar Fell looking out across the beautiful valley.

All in all a very pleasant place to stay, and an excellent base for walking in a quieter part of the dales.

Location wise, its a little out of the way, which we prefer, but there is a pub next door, 'The Moorcock Inn', which does excellent Food, big portions, and very reasonably priced, however, its not a huge place and gets booked up quickly Friday & Saturday evenings, so its worth booking a table in advance or you may be disappointed. Just use Google and you'll soon find their website.

The B&B does have a evening menu, but you need to let them have orders well in advance, ideally the day before or at breakfast so they can get the fresh ingredients. We didn't use this service but I've no doubt the meals would be at the same excellent standard as breakfast.

Hawes is an easy drive of around 5 miles, and you can park for free after 6pm in the main car park. There's an excellent Chippy, open till 9 most evenings, plus a few restaurants, pubs & cafes.

We had a wonderful weekend, and will hopefully be back soon.

Had a great weekend here with my friend as we completed the three peaks challenge. The pub next door does fantastic home cooked food and we'd stay there again for the pub alone. The B and B is in a great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the couple that run the B and B are lovely. The only thing I would say is the luxury packed lunch for 6.99 wasn't great value for money, but never the less, I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're looking for a weekend away in a beautiful part of the country.
