just spent four nights at seacote hotel for our 58th wedding anniversary, the weather wasnt kind (gales) to us, but we had an excellent time. the hotel was very clean, the staff were excellent, access to our room was perfect, i have mobility problems and the room was just opposite our room, (no noise from it) although the restaurant was closed at night the bar meals were very good , also breakfast was well presented and plenty to eat, our room was very comfy and a good sea view. all in all iwould reccomend this hotel as vaue for money and hope to return soon

Room Tip: room 306, handy for lift

Spent one night at the seacote hotel, on national holidays lakes explorer. We got to our room which was clean. It was painted white and it was freezing, so turned the the radiator up to 6 (the highest setting) and even after over 14 hours it was still freezing. The view would have been nice if not for the weather. The evening meal choice was chicken in mushroom jus (still looking for the mushroom), a vegetarian option or chilli con carne which was served with a poppadom ( always thought they went with curry). The full english breakfast consisted of 1 sausage, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 fried egg and some baked beans with a triangle of fried bread which was dripping in oil. The evening entertainment of a swing/jazz band were not that bad, however the room they were performing in was freezing after a while a little group went and sat in reception next to the heater which we asked Dawn the assistant manager to turn up. I would like to say Dawn was the best thing about the hotel ( didnt seem alot of staff around as dawn also did duty as waitress). Would I go again the lakes yes to this hotel NO. We did get trip for the bargain price of £47 per person.

Room Tip: If your staying there hope you get a sea view and weather to let you appreciate it.

Spent one night at seacote hotel, went with national holidays good value for money dinner and breakfast good and bar prices were reasonable, entertainment was a twenty piece swing band who were very good but it was spoilt by having to watch them in a freezing cold room.We left before they finished went into other bar which was also very cold so went to bed at eleven which is a bit early when you are only away for one night, other people complained about cold bedrooms but our room 319 was okay.Must mention Paul our driver nothing was to much trouble a lovely man.

Just returned from this lovely hotel , went with 9 friends for my birthday with National Holidays Lake District Weekend. Firstly I will say that Sharon the driver was excellent and a credit to National Holidays. We arrived at the hotel on a damp miserable and raining Saturday evening, it is a bit dated and could do with a bit of updating but we were met by the duty manager who boarded the coach to give us our room numbers so there was no queuing at reception. The rooms are clean and have a television and tea/ coffee making facilities, our room was cold but all of our friends rooms were red hot. Meals were good , service a bit slow but this was due to staff illnesses, the young man who served us was very polite and couldn't do enough for us I'm sorry I didn't get his name. Entertainment was provided by a lady with a guitar and she was very good. Mary behind the bar worked tirelessly on her own most of the night and all credit to her. Carling lager and britvic blackcurrant what more could a girl ask for. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 1 night on the 25th January with National Holidays. The room was very clean, spacious and most importantly quiet. The evening meal was very good. 3 choices each course and all were served very quickly. It was all hot and well presented. Breakfast was a bit of a let down with only cereal or porridge, no fruit, the cooked breakfast was cold with bacon you could have soled your shoes with and cold tea which was made up in a flask jug (yuk).
With improvements at breakfast it would be excellent.

Room Tip: Don't book a room when they have a Big Band Night as the noise is horrendous
