“Superb anniversary meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2013

Booked a meal for 4 at the Queens Hotel St Bees....Spoke to the manager and told him we just wanted nice table for 4, good food , presented nicely! He didnt let us down...in fact he surpassed himself and did us proud!!!! Fantastic meal 2 had the scampi....came beautifully presented , one had surf and turf and the comment is "delicious, spot on and the prawns were magnificent" I had slow cooked lamb shank with all the trimmings and it was just perfect.....followed by 4 sweets which completed an anniversary meal which couldnt have been better!! Service was amazingly quick, attentive and courteous....The manager had even tied anniversary balloons to our table !!!! very much appreciated and will certainly recommend and come back!!!!!! The prices are so good value also...we would have paid double that at a nearby hotel and couldnt have it enjoyed it any more ..Thank you for making our evening so memorable !!

“Proper pub food !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 September 2013

If you want traditional pub food, come to the queens. Lovely time to sit out in the summer, with room for the kids to run around, reasonable prices. Food selection is from chips to crème-brulee. Great for anyone staying nearby or in the village, or even if you live local ! Look at my other reviews in St bees, happy to take questions!

“Good pub grub”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2013

My wife and I dined here while passing thru St. Bee's. There was quite a wait to get a table, but we had some local ale in the interim. The service staff seemed a tiny bit overwhelmed, but it all worked out fine. Food quality was good pub fare.

“Food mmmm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013

Dropped into the queens for an evening meal but was told it would be at least an hour wait ( best to book in advance ) which we did for the next night , it was well worth the wait , had the surf and turf mmmmm, then a lovely dessert of creme brûlée , it has a large beer garden to the rear , a good selection of ales on offer , with some nice malts , well worth a return
