“the beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2011

The site is situated right on the beach and is really accessible for everyone. When the tide is out you can walk right down the site and back into St'Bees, the tide goes really far out and after the pebele start the beach is clean and a lovely sandy beach. I have a family member in a wheelchair and with the lifeboats ramp she can easily get down onto the sand and she gets to enjoy it as much as we do. Even when the tide is in you can still enjoy a sea front walk along the walkway which runs right along the front of the car park.

“Cobbly but great view”

This beach is mostly cobbly sand. When clear you can see the Isle of Man. Worth the walk from Main Street

beach is quiet but clean, there are metal steps and two concrete ramps down onth the beach but take care there are no steps off the promonade, just a drop of about 5ft onto pebbles.Tje beach is fairly flat and the tide can come in quite quickly

Lovely place for the start of coast to coast. We were able to chill the day before in the blazing sunshine.Beach and surronding are stunning. The village itself is quirky an most of all so peaceful if you looking for the get away from all that hustle an bustle this is a brilliant base.

“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2011

Apart from being the start of the coast to coast, the beach is clean; half sand, half pebbles. Views to Scotland. Shop / cafe by the beach sells provisions as well as the usual touristy stuff, ice cream & food. Play area for kids and even fairly clean public loos! Decent sized car park (pay & display). Nearby church has monastic history.
