“Relax with Hartleys ice cream.”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

Must be the ice cream served at Hartleys cafe that makes St Bees popular with the coast to coast cyclists, it beats Thorntons and many others. New kids playground under construction looks set to be popular with the kids.
A walk on the beach and over the cliff paths makes the ice cream even more enjoyable.

“Its ok”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

For a beach its nice, clean and very bracing, good walks up the hill and down and around the rock pool, there is a cafe for somewhere to eat, toilets and a small play area for children.

OK but not great

“tea by the sea”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

I love St. Bees tea and crumpets to start the morning off or afternoon as was in our case. We met with friends there were 8 of us and the service and food was great. The waitress was fast and had a good memory. A very pleasant cafe.

Reviewed 3 May 2014

Great place to visit take a walk along the cliff tops for about 1 mile really nice and take a camera some nice views well worth the visit. The beach is made up of large pebbles when the tide is out it,s a nice walk south along on the sand towards Callerton and nethertown village.
