“Quiet location”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Stayed at Seacote Hotel overlooking the sea.The beach is less than 100 metres away. There is a beach café and nothing else.On a good day you can see the Isle of Man.The hotel has a public bar selling reasonably priced bar snacks.Very quiet location. It is the start of the Coast to Coast walk.Great views.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

Plenty of parking, good cafe, playground and a combination of pebbles and sand surrounded by sheer cliffs make for a great backdrop to those beginning or ending a C2C or simply looking for a great day out at the beach.

“Stunning views”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

Visited this point recently on my travels around the Lake District, we called in for a tea and toilet break and were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the cafe staff and cleanliness of the place, outside we photographed some picturesque views of the surrounding area especially the stony beach, it is a very peaceful place and I envy the people who live there, I should imagine tho that winter will be a different kettle of fish. A pleasant place to pull into for a short break.

“Nice beach on a sunny day”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

Quaint little village by the sea. Sandy beach and you can walk a long way on the beach, which is nice on a sunny day. Just off the 595 so convenient for a little side tour.
