“Really nice food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

It's worth making clear that this is not a typical Indian restaurant. The décor is very untypical and arguably, a little cheap. The size of the menu is very small with only a handful of dishes and they only take cash. Also, they don't have a drink licence but there is a shop next door that can provide cheap drink so that helps keep the overall price down considerably. I had the beer dish and it was very good and the naan was very nice. It's worth checking out whether the menu suits you but if it does then it's very good.

“Surprise find in Staveley”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

A very unusual Indian experience, with dishes not usually found on the typical Indian restaurant menus. Essential to book, although if you eat early, you might be lucky to get a table. The paneer is excellent, and goes well with a meat dish - we shared, to get the benefit of two very different flavours.

“Extremely bland and overpriced for what you get.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2014

We found the food to be really bland, we had two different mains and both were completely lacking in flavour and seasoning. The meats were cooked really, really well, but they are also the only flavour in the dishes, and for a curry there needs to be some real punch, not just spice. Portions were also rather small considering the price.

“great takeaway very different menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

Great little takeaway with lovely unique menu. The choices are limited but delicious. Try the Tarka Dahl, Garlic chilli chicken and the special naan and roti breads. Gorgeous.

“Very disappointed ”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014 via mobile

After reading so many positive reviews I had high hopes for this restaurant. Starting with the positives; the lady who served us was very friendly and the service was good.
The food was very disappointing. I ordered the chickpea vegetarian starter which said it was topped with flakes of corn. I couldn't believe it when it arrived and the topping was actual cornflakes ie breakfast cereal! In my opinion it was quite bizarre and really didn't work.
I had the paneer vegetarian main course which was £8.50 and the rice was £2. When it arrived it was about 4 tiny pieces of cheese with absolutely loads of peas in quite a watery sauce, so basically £10.50 for a plate of peas and rice. With having a toddler at home this was a rare night out that was sadly a let down.
