A good place to stay, very clean en suite room, Guest lounge had log fire tv books to read and games if needed, there was a choice of breakfasts available the full English set us up for the day. We had room 1 which had superb views onto the mountains, Lyn also has gardens to sit in to admire the scenery and watch the wildlife and her exotic pets.Well worth staying there if you visit the Northern Lakes. Love to return when the hills have snow on.

Interesting old property, clean rooms, showers a bit snug, if your not a walker and looking for a bit of glam ask for room 3, it was nice to have a sitting room for guests, and to have the use of the large garden with its fantastic views. Good breakfasts

Room Tip: room 3 has large on suite

This was a return visit to Dancing Beck after previously staying with Lyn nearly three years ago, when she had only recently opened. We found that the warm hospitality, lovely home and beautiful views of our first trip had been built upon by Lyn having undertaken a programme of refurbishment and modernisation to the already attractive bedrooms. Both of the rooms we had were newly decorated and now have stylish, modern en-suite facilities. They also had flat screen tellies - with the option also remaining of sending the kids down to the shared sitting room to watch the DVDs we had brought with us.

Breakfast is taken in the lovely farmhouse style dining room which shares the same stunning view of the mountains across the valley which two of the three rooms benefit from. Portions were large and everything was tasty and of the highest quality.

Very highly recommended as a base for the Keswick area and exploring the wider northern Lakes. The one sadness is that Red Squirrels appear to be less frequent visitors to the feeding stations in the lovely garden - but that's hardly Lyn's fault!

We've been coming to the Lake district for years and can say without doubt that the views you get from Dancing Beck are the best and are certainly worth being a few miles out from the town centre . Great breakfasts, a spacious room and lovely garden if you want to sit for a while after returning from a days walking. No problems with parking and a quiet nights sleep guaranteed.

This superb B&B is in beautiful surroundings and the owner clearly has a passion for her home and exacting standards. The accommodation is tastefully decorated, in keeping with the impressive facade of the property. She was a wonderfully accommodating hostess who went out of her way to ensure a pleasant stay. Dogs are welcome and there are walks nearby for them in the woods. Views from every window we looked through were truly beautiful and typical of the district. Our stay was impromptu due to the unexpected failure of our new tent during inclement weather. The owner was highly sympathetic and offered a room where we could dry out our tent. She insisted upon getting up early to do our breakfast when we told her we had an early start home on our last day, earlier than the usual 8.30-9.00am breakfast time. A wide selection of breakfast foods is on offer and she makes sure that you have had what you need. A wonderful stay under difficult circumstances for us. We would love to return to this little gem of a Country House.

We were the only guests at this B&B. We had the 2 back bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Top Left back room had 2 beds, a twin and double. The bathroom was right next door, and we didn't have to share. If we did I might reconsider. I don't like to share bathrooms. The Top right rear bedroom had it's own bath with double bed. The host was cordial. She was having a dinner party that night for friends. The setting is beautiful with views across the valley and is located off the main highway on a parallel back road. In just a few minutes you can drive to Keswick. There was a sitting room with books, TV on the first floor. Breakfast was average for B&B in UK.
