Great resource in Whitehaven. Perfect for a rainy day and the weather forecast "play" station never fails to entertain the kids. We're lucky to have so many great places in Cumbria, and this is a top one

Very interesting visit to the Beaon, there was an additional photographic exhibition on that day which was excellent. The Beacon exhibits are over 4 floors but there are lifts. The top floor has interactive exhibits which were interesting to adults. One of tne floors was dedicated to things from the past..the 60s and 70s. The views are very good from the top of the beacon all over the Marina. We had lunch at the cafe on tne ground floor which looks over the Marina. Would be good for children and familys for a day out. It took quite a while to go round and see everything. We travelled there by Trian from Lancaster. We had stopped at Ravenglass on tne way also.

We were pleasantly suprised by the quality of the exhibits at the Beacon. The building is well done, the exhibits are varied and quite interesting. The views of Whitehave from the 4th level are wonderful. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We bought an annual pass after our first visit!
