Recently used a Voucher for a 2 night stay and was not disappointed with this lovely Hotel. On arrival we were greeted by the staff member on duty and show to our room. The room was large, extremely clean, great heating, good sized bathroom and although a little dated on the décor did not deter us from our stay. Staff were extremely helpful and the food on site was fantastic, catering for all our needs when required. All staff were great in directing us to local attractions to help with our visit also and would highly recommend a visit.

We stayed at the Wheyrigg Hall Hotel using a gift voucher. The reviews on this property were our reason for staying, I'm so pleased that we did. The room was so comfortable and immaculately clean. The food in the restaurant was so delicious and you could tell that it had been cooked with great care. The steak we had was cooked to perfection and the diane sauce was to die for. The staff were also really friendly and approachable. The breakfast was also so good, with such a lot of choice and cooked really well too. We will definitely be returning and would have no hesitation in recommending the Wheyrigg. Thank you so much for our lovely room.

large room clean with a comfy bed. have stayed in many hotels both through work and privately, and would have to say that both food wise and for friendliness of staff the Wheyrigg Hall was second to none a real family feel about the whole place. we only stayed for the weekend which was not long enough to explore everything that this wonderful part of the world has to offer, we have already said that we want to see more and when we do we will certainly want to stay here again.

Visited recently for your steak night REALLY enjoyed it ! Four of us dined and steaks were just cooked to perfection as we liked them. One had fish and chips and commented that it was one of the best fish and chips he had, had. For the first time ever I chose the stilton sauce to accompany my steak and will have it again, so creamy and tasty. They even did a baked potato instead of chips for me. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal as did the others. One of us was a celiac and really the waitresses could not do enough to assist and advise her on what items were suitable for her on the menu. They adapted the peppercorn sauce especially for her and when she did not want the baked potato in place of the chips which were not suitable for celiacs they offered a salad instead, which after eating she said she actually enjoyed much better than she would have done her chips as it was so tasty, it certainly looked appetising. The 2 chip eaters cleared the large dish of chips proffered and said they were excellent. Price for a bottle of wine was reasonable as was the special steak night offer pricewise. Were left to chat after our meal and not rushed, comfortable surroundings, good temperature not too hot or too cold. My friend goes here often and recommends it to others,it is even better than I remembered from last visit,so will return again. Thank you very much to waitresses and kitchen staff whom they consulted for us, for the concern that they showed in looking after our celiac it was much appreciated. My friends all intend to return again soon too. Well done we had a lovely evening.

We stayed here in August for one night at the start of our Hadrians Wall Cycle Trip. We enjoyed lunch, evening meal and breakfast at The Wheyrigg Hotel. The Hotel does seem slightly run down, our family rooms had seen better days as had the dining room and bar area. The Wheyrigg, if we´re honest, could probably do with a revamp. But the price/service/quality was all fine and we were satisfied with our stay.
