Stayed for a midweek break with family and dog.

Friendly and helpful staff
Very clean lodge
Lodge had everything needed including hairdryer! ( only thing we didn't have was a pizza cutter!)
Very clean site
Nice mini woodland walk for dog
Pool was clean and although not big perfect for that kind of break
Nice indoor games rooms for both older and younger children
Go active activities

Just a couple of negatives!
Kids playground wasn't much fun for over 5s
Busy main road to cross if you want to walk the local Tissington trail ( which is nice )
Little shop for basics like milk and fresh bread would be helpful.. ( if this was available we never saw it)
Some floats for the pool to add to fun for kids
Adult only swim times should be available

The restaurant looked very nice but we never ate there due to eating out on day trips.

We will definitely book again

I stayed in Sandybrook Country Park with my family recently and we went from a Friday to a Monday.
We had a very relaxing break, we went for a swim in the pool, we played mini golf and pool and we stayed in our lodge and went in our hot tub!
I would recommend this Country Park to other families as it's in a beautiful area and the facilities are great.

We stopped here as it is a quiet site and we always love stopping here. They are new cabins and the layout is better and the bathroom was a lot better than the old cabins. The location is good for the Peak District and a short walk into Ashbourne. The only downside for us was the coach house menu, we have eaten there before on other visits but we did not like the choice of menu and more catered for the takeaway trade than to sit in and eat.

We stayed in Sandybrook for a week in July with our 18 month old and had an absolutely fabulous stay. The lodge was absolutely spotless (you'd have sworn there had never been another guest before us!), as was the indoor toddler play area. I honestly have never seen a cleaner children's area; huge credit to whoever cleans it because every morning it was standing to attention! The play area had a slide, see saw, cars, a lovely Ikea kitchen and lots of little bits and pieces to keep younger kids entertained on rainy days. Our little one loved it; we couldn't peel him away! And the entire week we were there, we never once saw another kid in it so he had a ball. Apart from the spotless facilities, what made this place stand out was the attention to detail. The fairy walk in the woods, mints to take in the car when you're checking out, an instruction manual with literally everything you would possibly need to know, BBQs to hire, you name it, it's been thought of here. And staff are so friendly; the ladies in reception were an absolute credit to the company and the maintenance man who came to our lodge when the TV stopped working was such a lovely guy too. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff really did make the holiday special. One suggestion I'd have is to perhaps open the pool or play area a bit earlier than 9 (although that's because our kiddo wakes at 5am!) Apart from that there is nothing I can say apart from glowing compliments!! We actually visited Darwin (sister country park) during our stay, as guests can use the facilities there too, and felt that for us, it just didn't compare to Sandybrook. We loved the smaller size and felt it suited our small family perfectly. We will definitely be back!

Nice and clean place. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Perfect place to mix a family trip with the excitement of Alton Towers and the silence and beauty of the Peak District. Would go again when I go back to the UK.
