We came for a weeks holiday in August. The lodge was really clean and modern. The holiday park felt very safe and all the amenities close. The swimming pool and play areas were enough to keep the children entertained. We really enjoyed our week away and would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed here as a recooperation after my hubby had a knee replacement!!(not ideal as is very hilly)having said that it is very quiet! We normally stay at Darwin & I think we have been spoilt as the cleanliness of the lodge did not match that of Darwin.Just a few tweeks & details to a few things it would be better! On arrival the main restuarant was closed so that was very disappointing,& there is nowhere else on site!Check in very efficient & lodge was ready early(before the stated 4o'clock).We had a relaxing stay!

My family stayed in a two bed lodge with hot tub. The lodge was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The hot tub was a definite bonus. What did stand out for us more than any other similar sites that we have stayed on previously was just how friendly and helpful the staff especially on reception were. Having never visited the Peak District before their held and advice was really useful.

We found it a great base for the nearby cycling trails and were blown away by the beauty of the area and will definitely be back.

We ate at the onsite restaurant/pub a couple of times. Both times the food was good but both times we were the only customers and it was deathly quiet with not even any background music.

We ordered a BBQ from reception for the rest of our meals which was delivered to our veranda and was spotlessly clean with the necessary BBQ tools we required!

Look forward to returning one day!

We had a fabulous time at Sandybrook park. The park was immaculately maintained, Lodge was roomy enough and spotless. Everything we needed was there and the electric heating came in handy on the odd evening it got a bit chilly. Warmed up really fast and was toasty warm.
The pool was enjoyed everyday, the kids loved it. Very clean family changing room with plenty of cubicles for privacy. Small Sauna and good Jaccuzzi (no kids allowed for obvious reasons). The pool was large enough to have a decent swim, shallow toddlers pool too. It was always quiet when we went down around 6pm through to 7.30pm when the pool closed for cleaning.
There is a small woodland walk on the site and some amazing specimens like redwood and monkey puzzle trees.
The crazy golf was enjoyed by all and reasonably priced. Games room was popular, 2 pool tables, air hockey, bar football, again if you choose your times you could get the place to yourself.
Bar and restaurant were nicely fitted out and the courtyard relaxing for a drink or two.
We ate once in the restaurant and whilst the food was good and the chef very accommodating to special dietary needs, the service was quite slow but did not spoil our meal.
Lots to do within 30 minutes drive, we did Chatsworth house, Crich Tramway village, Cycling along the Tissington trail (from Ashbourne), and just chilled on site each in between day. Ask reception for discount vouchers.
We tried to book Archery on Thursday morning (for the Thursday afternoon) but activities were fully booked so If you do fancy doing any of the GO Active things recommend you book before your stay or as soon as you arrive.
In summary - a great place to chill out and relax with lots to do locally if you want it. Standards on the site were exceptional. The site was very Family friendly with mainly parents and their children which was perfect for us with our 6 and 11 yr old.
Ashbourne is 5 mins drive with supermarkets and shops - some people got Tesco to deliver to Their lodge on site on arrival day - Good Idea.
The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommended

Really enjoyable stay in 3 berth lodge, with our dog. Immaculate site and lodges and really welcoming and friendly staff. Felt at home from the moment we arrived. Family group from 2 to 60 all loved the lodge and facilities. Other family was able to visit without any stuffy rules and facilities never over full. Already looking to return to lovely lodges on well run site with lots to do on site and nearby , but lovely and quiet to sit and relax too excellent , well done all involved in making stays here memorable,
