“A wonderful week in a cosy cottage!”
Reviewed 27 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We were lucky to find this gem of a cottage in the lovely town of Ashbourne. A perfect location for visiting surrounding areas of beauty- Dovedale, Buxton, Bakewell to name but a few. The cottage is located just a few short steps from the town centre which has an abundance of independent shops and fabulous restaurants, most of which provide a takeaway service. Particularly note worthy were the Thai basement, the market place chip shop and the Dragons Nest. The cottage itself was immaculate and very well equipped with lots of little extras to ensure a comfortable stay. A thoughtful touch of milk and biscuits was appreciated and the owner was very helpful. Overall a great choice, we were very impressed and would certainly stay here again.

“Everything you need.”
Reviewed 10 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Stayed over the easter break and did not want to come back. If you are clean freak then this is the right place to stay. Perfect location right in middle town. Eating out places and Grocery shops like sainsbury's literally 5 walk. Parking is easy to find throughout the day, not too far from the cottage. It is very cosy and and has got everything you need. I loved the bean bag and super soft couch blanket. Thorpe hill one of the tourist location to do moderate hiking is not too far either.

“everything we needed”
Reviewed 13 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Robert's retreat is perfectly located for staying in Ashbourne . Within walking distance for shops, bars and restaurants . Good use of space and very modern . Equipped with everything you could need including dvds , books and games .well equipped kitchen . Carole ,owner ,even provided milk and biscuits which was a nice touch . We were able to park outside the accomodation as the accomodation next door was n't being used .We were allowed late checkout until 2pm which allowed us extra time to visit local attractions.

Enjoyed staying in this little house. Really comfortable with all that you need. Although there is no wifi, the property does not have a dedicated parking space but we easily found somewhere to park locally.
