We stayed here for a few nights, and couldn't have asked for a more comfortable or pleasant base for our trip. The cottage itself is full of character. Lots of lovely period features. There's a gorgeous sitting room with a log fire, perfect for when the weather is colder and you just want a cosy night in playing games. Also a second living room, which is equally cosy and comfortable.
Bedrooms are large and really lovely- lots of lovely personal touches which are in keeping with the character feel of the cottage.
One thing that sets this place above others I've stayed in are the additional extras that the hosts have added to make the stay more comfortable. Spare toothbrushes, spare toothpaste, tea bags, coffee, a little box of beer and wine- which you are encouraged to help yourself to! You could literally walk into this place and have everything you need - which is a lovely thing.
There is a pretty terrace with seating and a nice view- perfect for that first cup of tea in the morning.
The town is a short walk away, as is a lovely old Mill, and the river.
I would like to also mention what a wonderful host Roy was. He greeted us at the cottage and took the time to show us around and show us how everything worked.
We will definitely be returning :-) Thankyou for a lovely stay Roy and Anne.
