“An amazing bungalow with breathtaking views”

Me and 2 of my colleagues spent a weekend at Gorsey Close and we absolutely loved it.
The bungalow was big with 3 bedrooms and furnished very well. The bungalow was very clean and had all the amenities that one could ask for, including a complimentary box of chocolates which was a very nice touch which we all appreciated. The kitchen was supplied with all utensils, the living room had a massive tv and to top it off there is a really big game room with a full size snooker table, darts board and assorted board games.

The owners are very helpful if need be and respect your privacy, would come here again and recommend Gorsey C lose to anyone looking for a nice picturesque retreat.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely 3 bed bungalow.Situated one mile from Belper,in rural derbyshire. The veiws are absolutely fantastic, peace and quiet second to none. The home itself is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and believe it or not there is a full size snooker table. The owners are very approachable. We will definitely stay at this home again, there is so much to see.Plus there are some good eating houses around.

“Great location”

Stayed for 3 nights in February 2016 but thought my partner had written a review.

Great place to stay, owner was on hand as our sat nav took us to the wrong location and also when we disconnected the TV ariel in error.

House was lovely and great for both our children and parents and a super base for great walks, we have family who live in Derbyshire so will stay at this property again if it is available.

“A delightful place to stay”
Reviewed 23 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We spent four nights at Gorsey Close and wished it could have been far longer. The bungalow had beautiful countryside views and was spotless and very comfortable with every amenity. We found it a great base to stay for visiting local family and friends and for them to come to see us. We felt very relaxed during our time there there and hope to return.

“Easter at Gorsey Close”
Reviewed 30 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed for 3 nights over Easter with our son and had a lovely time, the accommodation was superb, lovely and warm and could sleep up to six people. Everything was exceptionally clean and spotless, Rachael the owner had even left us a box of chocolates and milk in the fridge.
The views were great from all directions and only 2 miles from Belper.
There was a brilliant games room with a full sized snooker table and darts board and our daughter and family who live only 25 minutes away visited us and we had a great family time.
We hope to visit again, maybe in the summer where we could enjoy a walking holiday.

“Perfection”
Reviewed 29 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I would rate this holiday let as one of the best I have stayed in; at home and abroad. There was nothing missing that could be needed or wanted for a comfortable stay. Rachael, the owner, was very friendly on arrival and unobtrusive throughout our stay. The house is a short distance from Belper town with a bus running from a hundred yards away. The house was spotlessly clean. An excellent choice for those wishing to stay in this area.

“Happy Christmas!”
Reviewed 8 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We stayed here over CHristmas and had such a lovely time. The owners (Rachel and Dave) were friendly and super helpful and even offered to put up decorations for us! There was a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates for us too.

The house was much bigger than expected with a huge Games room with full snooker table and lovely views from most Windows. There was everything we needed including kitchen equipment and plenty of room for six adults. The house was mostly modern, well decorated, lovely and warm, furniture was good quality and there was lots of storage so I could keep presents hidden before Christmas! The ensuite was really useful too.

There is a garden but because of the time of year we didn't use but I'm sure it would be a joy in the summer for a family.

You can just about walk into Belper (2 miles downhill - feels longer on the way back as its uphill all the way!) but there are some local taxi companies and a bus that goes to the top of the road. There are plenty of ways to walk out from the house and short drives to Matlock and the Peak District. Belper town is a nice little town. We had dinner at the Lion, which was really good, and Fish and Chips at the chip shop next to the Lion - they were just lovely!

Our only criticism was the wifi but I know Rachel and Dave are Looking into this. Make sure you follow the instructions to get to the house because it's easy to get it wrong as the house is tucked behind the owners. Sadly the closest pub whisk was 50 yards away is now closed.
