A really friendly welcome at this old post office. Welcomed with the offer of a pot of tea, and made to feel very at home. Breakfast was good, bed was comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. The room was not en suite as stated on the booking site (Hotels.com)

John and Joan were very attentive hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Greeting us with a pot of tea after a hard walk up kinder scout was a treat! John was a mine of information and told a great story or two..... There was no tv in the room and a bathroom that all three rooms had to share but we knew that before we arrived so it wasn't an issue. the whole place was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the breakfast was brilliant

Room Tip: All were on the front but the road was quiet

We stayed here while walking for a couple of days and were blown away by how welcome we were made to feel. John and Joan treated us like old friends and gave us great advice on the area, not to mention a great breakfast. The rooms are very clean and comfortable although as others have said, the TV and bathroom (also clean and well-equipped) are shared. I can't imagine staying anywhere else if we visit the area again; a very wonderful experience.

I stopped here for business and was a lovely location, I was in the single room. Firstly the hosts are very nice and have no complaints there, the room was decorated to on ok standard but the was no tv which I wouldn't mind if I was on holiday but when I am working away all I want to do is have dinner then relax in my room! The bed was very uncomfortable, I seemed to be an adjustable one not good at all! Breakfast was average, not a great selection and the sausage was local but not very tasty. I would not stay again in the single room anyway.

We stayed only one night, but will deffinitely be coming again. Joan and John made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Faultless service and true value for money. We shall recommend to anyone wanting to visit this lovely area. ValB

A family of 5.
We stayed for one night and John and Joan were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were lovely and views were amazing. Bathroom was like a 5 star hotel!

The B&B is very spacious and very cosy. John and Joan were very welcoming and very attentive. We didn't want for anything. I would definitely recommend to friends/ family. I would not hesitate to book again.

Thank you for a lovely stay.
