Just home from a long weekend here, walking with a friend. We were made very welcome, the rooms were comfortable and clean, with great views. Also there was plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space, which is sometimes lacking in other B&B's and small hotels. The village itself is a great base for outdoor activities and quite lively. With 6 pubs, a restaurant and a couple of good shops there is no need to go hungary. I would definately be happy to stay here again.

Nice stay in Castleton for a few days of walking. B&B is in a good location and has a low key, welcoming feel about it. Nice room, all as described, and decent breakfast choice. Would be more than happy to use it again.

We liked it here so much we are coming back in August! The beds are clean and very comfortable and Sue looked after us really well and provided the most delicious breakfasts. She agreed to make us packed lunch without the usual warning and we were really impressed with all the goodies we had in our bags. Sue was always on hand to answer any queries we had but also respected our privacy. This is one of the nicest places we have stayed in - thanks Sue!

We found this B and B having watched the Garland Ceremony in Castleton and decided to stop the night. The room was equipped with everything we needed and was clean and nicely appointed. As it was only a couple of minutes from the middle of the village, we only had a short walk to find somewhere to eat that evening. There was a warm welcome from the owner who was genuinely interested in what we had done that day.

The breakfast in the morning was lovely - lots of fresh fruit and cereal as well as the usual full english breakfast. We enjoyed our stay here and will recommend it to our friends should they choose to visit Derbyshire.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Cheshire House last week. The location and the room were ideal as we are keen walkers. The location meant we didn't have to move the car after we arrived, as we could reach everything we needed on foot. Our host was very welcoming and provided good advice on local activities and places to eat.

The room was thoughtfully decorated and well maintained, with a lovely view over the hills. The breakfast was excellent and there is a great deal of choice on offer - all appetites are catered for!

When we next stay in the Peak District, we would definitely choose to stay here again.
