Easy to find, but rooms on the second floor were difficult to access via a very steep stairway and no lifts. Had to register in the restaurant and then access the accommodation by a different external doorway.
Free continental breakfast was a bonus.

Spent a lovely weekend in a really nice hotel. Rooms lovely and big, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Staff were great and the location was perfect. Park your car and forget about it for your entire stay. Everything is within walking distance. The food in the hotel was exactly what we wanted and we were surrounded by happy and friendly people. Definitely going to stay here again.

The inn it self was clean and tidy ,the room I had was clean and tidy , but we could hear every movement made by the people in the room above .The food we only had a lunch time Sandwich witch took 40 minutes to come when not busy so decided to eat somewhere . The staff where not friendly in fact did not want to be there by the attitude they had . Every time we had to look for someone to serve us .The breakfast waitress again had to find her .Not a friendly place would not stay again.

Was hard t find at first as the road was blocked my roadworks and the place is called "The Castle" which confused us as we were looking for the Innkeepers Lodge. However we found it and booked in. Staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was massive and had real beams in it. The views from our room was awesome. The menu there was lovely so we ate our dinner there which was really really nice. Got a good nights sleep and in the morning had a continental breakfast - plenty to eat for breakfast. We booked this at the last minute and I felt that we really got lucky as we loved it so much

Room Tip: Room 11 is massive and very pretty, also nice a quiet

Thankfully we only booked one night accommodation, we wouldn't have stayed for two!
We attempted to order a drink, before 11 o'clock in the evening and were ignored by the barmaid, the duty manager came from the back room to serve us and was reprimanded by the barmaid for his actions! We took our drinks outside and were plunged into darkness and the doors slammed shut.. She knew we were there, but seemed to be in such a foul mood, she didn't care. We were an inconvenience to her.
We expressed our dissatisfaction to the manager, and were met with such rudeness from the barmaid. Laughing and sneering in a customers face is far from perfect customer care.
We felt completely humiliated and embarrassed.
The rooms themselves were adequate, but grossly overpriced. I'm sure there are better and cheaper places to stay in Castleton than this.
