“Great little shop and tea room”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

We didn't order good but sat in the garden with a drink with our dog, service was great and one of the staff members even brought a bowl of water out for our dog.
We looked around the shop and purchased some items, the staff where extremely friendly and very welcoming.

“Afternoon Tea”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

We have visited the Causeway before and their sandwiches and cream tea are always delicious. We have eaten both outside and in always with very friendly service and a smile in beautiful surroundings. Definitely a place to visit.

Went with a groupon and were treated like second class citizens would never go back, if they don't like groupon customers why advertise on their site?

“Cosy and scrumptious”

A great cafe at the back of a cute shop. The afternoon tea is always yummy with a great selection of sandwiches and petite scones. Staff are attentive, friendly and always eager to help. Definitely recommend stopping for a refresher at The Causeway!

“Far from the madding crowds. ”
Reviewed 3 July 2014 via mobile

Found this little oasis in Castleton. Our usual haunt was busy so called in The Causeway Cafe. It was just lovely, clean and homely. My godson had the substantial 'all day breakfast' I had a cheese and onion ciabatta. The breakfast was cooked fresh and I did think my godson wouldn't manage it all.
The ciabatta was tasty as was the homemade coleslaw. The service was good and polite the staff were not pushy either. A pleasant experience not to far off the beaten track and far enough away from the crowds. I will definitely be returning.
