We had a great lunch at the Tea rooms on the main street before heading home.

stayed here for 2 nights at end of Aug. A very warm welcome when we arrived, very impressed with our large, bright modern room with great view of the castle. Difficult to find nice B&B's like this that accept pets so we were fortunate enough to bring our german shepherd dog too. Make sure you can drag yourself out of the very comfortable beds in the morning down to breakfast where you can sit in the breakfast room overlooking the hills of the peak district eating a fantastic full english. we were really made to feel at home here, will definately be making a booking again when we're next up that way, thanks Alan. My partner and myself arrived at the b&b on the Saturday an hour earlier then we had told Alan and Jenny. There was no answer to the door so we went for a walk up Mam Tor. When we returned to the b&b Alan greeted us, he was very friendly and made us feel at home. Our room was on the top floor of the house and seemed modern compared to the dated landings. The room had a large window in making it very airy and light. It was a good size and looked like it has been painted recently. However, there was a large amount of damp on the top of one of the walls which looked pretty awful. The room also looked like it hadn't been hovered in a fairly long time. There was also a dead beatle and various other things under the bed. Despite this the bed was very comfortable with clean sheets that look pretty new. Our private bathroom was along the landing and was very small with no ventilation. This meant it got very hot and steamy when having a shower; it looked like it needed a really good scrub.

During the evening we explored Castleton and had a really lovely evening. I would recommend The Bulls Head for dinner and The Castle for drinks. When we returned to the b&b we were joined by one of their cats who was very sweet. After a comfortable night we made our way downstairs for breakfast. They offered lots of different types of food (cereal, fruit or cooked) and was pleasent even if it wasn't served with a smile!

The overall experience of the Four Seasons b&b was enjoyable however i do not feel it was worth the amount we paid (£65).

We have stayed there several times over the last couple of years and we are always made very welcome. We have stayed in most of the rooms and they are always clean, warm and comfortable. They are very animal friendly so doggy visitors are always welcome. The views from every room are great and the atmosphere friendly and laid back. If you want to relax and leave the rat race for awhile then this is the place to stay - you won't regret it!!

I stay at the Four Seasons every month as I regularly work in the Peak Distrcit. I have stayed at a number of the other B 'n' B's in Castleton and can vouch that the Four Seasons is a cut above the rest (which is no mean feat).

All of the rooms are clean, modern in decor and spacious, with the back bedrooms offering stunning views over to Mam Tor, Winnats Pass and the surroundings. They are all well appointed with coffee, tea and hot chocolate making facilities in every room. The bathrooms are spotless, the showers are all brilliantly high pressure and the hot water supply is always reliable. I am always a little sad to go home as the beds at the Four Seasons are actually more comfortable than my own!

Aside from the excellent facilities, it is the friendliness and almost boundless helpfulness of the owners, Jenny and Alan that really makes my stays at the Four Seasons so enjoyable. They offer a warm welcome and a mammoth and very tasty full english breakfast (sometimes including white and black pudding!). For the more calorie concerned there is a large selection of other food including; cereals, fruit, bread (for toast), jams and yoghurt.

This b 'n' b has a variety of rooms so that it caters for almost all requirements, from single travellers to families and with its very reasonable rates I would recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay in Castleton.

I stay at the Four Seasons regularly and Jenny and Alan are always happy to accommodate me. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a great modern style, with clean en-suite bathrooms with good showers. All the rooms are different so it never feels like you’re staying in a soulless hotel. The breakfasts are always welcome with generous portion sizes and a huge range of choices from vegetarian cooked breakfast, full English, to toast and jam, and the view from the breakfast room is pretty good too! The Four Seasons is within walking distance of all the pubs and caverns in Castleton so you don’t have to travel far to eat out or find some thing interesting to do. In my opinion the best bed and breakfast in Castleton and I’ve stayed in most of them.

A great location and very friendly welcome from the owners who were very helpful with suggestions for mountain biking routes and letting us wash the bikes down after a ride.

Good quality, generous breakfast and decent coffee too!
Nice and quiet at night so a good nights sleep and comfortable beds - good value and exactly what you want after a hard days fun on the peaks.
