“Wonderful mini break”
Reviewed 25 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Oatcake cottage was the perfect base for the beautiful village of Castleton with our dog Ash, with amazing walks from the front door, loads of dog friendly pubs and shops and even the caverns were all pooch friendly! The cottage was really cosy and well equipped, and the views from the garden were just stunning. Even the weather was fabulous! Only bad point - we wish we had booked a longer stay!

“Cosy and dog friendly”
Reviewed 10 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

This cosy cottage is set in a beautiful compact village with several pubs and cafes, all dog friendly so Jess could be with us all the time. The cottage is warm and has everything you would want for a stay. There are excellent challenging walks locally and more a short drive out of the village.

“Quaint and cozy cottage”
Reviewed 25 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Oatcake Cottage is right in the middle of one of our favourite places in Derbyshire and it's been great to be able to be in Castleton for a whole week and not just a busy weekend. It's a lovely cozy little cottage and we felt really at home there from the minute we arrived and found cakes, tea, coffee and milk waiting for us! We were really grateful of the central heating and washer/ dryer as we had lots af wet weather ( including Storm Doris!) and we got really wet and muddy! The dogs had a fab holiday too and we were really pleased that our large dog cage fitted snugly into the living room! All in all, a highly recommended cottage in a fabulous location. We would love to stay again!

“Cosy and comfortable cottage”
Reviewed 19 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We stayed for 3 nights in Oatcake Cottage with our dog Hazel. It's in a great spot (we were visiting friends who live in the village) - lots of pubs to walk to for evening meals. Castleton is great for getting out onto the Peaks as well. The cottage had everything we needed and more - Jane has added lots of little, thoughtful touches to make us feel really welcome. We will definitely go again.
