Well laid out pub with a good pub-grub menu. We had a very enjoyable family get together at a friendly, traditional village pub. Advance booking advisable.

The hawk and buckle is quite a nice pub.but my family and i went on a Sunday lunch time for food.there was only 3 meals to choose from roast beef, turkey, pork.we had the beef and the turkey.the beef was terrible,it was chewy, dry, and did not really taste of beef,it had a bit of a funny taste.the roast potatoes were burnt and dry.the turkey was very dry and most of it was taken home for the dog.before we got our meals we were looking at the menu for the week ahead and were planing coming back because it sounded quite nice.but have now decided not to because the food was so bad.

Thank Lee H
