Stayed for one night while cycling from Isle of Man to Spain. The place was great. Despite being lovely and clean, Mrs Birds Nest didn't mind us dragging our sodden bike panniers to dry in the bathroom. Add on top of that tea and cakes upon arrival, a thick bath robe, the best breakfast I had on the entire trip (waffles, fresh berries and Greek yoghurt - try it!) and a fun landlady, you can't really go wrong.

Stayed one night in Bird's Nest Cottage, and was truly impressed. Arrived after tiring, 5-hr drive to be offered tea and homemade cake by landlady, (very welcome!) and room was spacious, newly decorated and thoroughly welcoming. Modern, very clean bathroom with lovely toiletries provided. Many larger, more expensive hotels could learn a lesson or two here! Breakfast freshly cooked and delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I stayed for one night at Birds Nest Cottage with my partner, unfortunately they did not have a double so we agreed to a twin with ensuite down the corridor. The hotel is spotless and very homely, it is all freshly decorated and Linda the owner is very accomadating, she also runs a small treatment room doing spa treatments. The breakfast was excellent with views over their fantastic garden.

The room we had was quite small but very adequate and had a kettle,tv,extra quilts etc. we had toiletries and white robes in the ensuite. Dont even entertain the George Hotel in town it.s a pit. I would definately stop at the Birds Nest Cottage again.

Wonderful B&B with good-sized, well appointed bedrooms and a great breakfast. Also nice communal TV rooms and tea on arrival. I would recommend the Birds Nest Cottage to anyone staying in Glossop.
